Berlin's central airport, the iconic Tempelhof - built in the 1920's only a couple of miles from the city centre (equivalent distance of being in Hyde Park in London). Only around eight flights a day from Germany and Belgium now land, in the lead-up to closure of the airport scheduled for October 2008
